James and I are still trying to decide what colours to choose for the wedding, which is actually so much harder than I thought it would be. I mean, it's just a colour right? WRONG. The colour you decide will influence the flowers, the decorations, the cake, and of course, the outfits. So for me, this decision isn't to be made lightly. What if i choose a colour that completely washes out the bridesmaids? Choose a decoration that just darkens the room and doesn't help to brighten it. What if I choose a colour and end up limited which flowers I can choose? Maybe I'm over thinking this, but if I'm only having one wedding, I want it to be just right :) I'm not a crazy bridezilla just yet. So I had a thought:
What
if we just went multi-coloured with EVERYTHING? Just choose a whole
variety of colours, allowing for creativity and no set colour scheme to
follow.
I think I love the idea of having a multi-coloured wedding as it already gives off a very positive, happy vibe, whilst almost giving off a rustic feel as well. You also aren't limited in any fashion of choices. However, I don't think I could go for the bridesmaids having all different coloured dresses, it just seems wrong. I mean, how could anyone tell they were the bridesmaids? It'd be similar to dressing them all in white, it'd be too weird. However, I love the idea of having a variety of colours during the reception or maybe even the wedding breakfast. The food, drink and decorations in all different colours look far too fun and festive.
So what do you think of having a rainbow wedding? Are you at all tempted?

ReplyDeleteMy husband & I didn't choose rainbow for our wedding but we had 3 main colors - navy blue, sunflower yellow and charcoal gray. 2 of my bridesmaids wore gray dresses and the 3rd wore navy blue. It looks great in photos!
